Tour Groups & Exclusive Trips

KJet are proud to offer exclusive charters for small to large groups of up to 140 passengers, and are flexible with departure times and trip specifics.

We can tailor the tours for your itinerary and to your group’s desired thrill level – from mild to wild. From standard departures at the Main Town Pier and the Frankton Marina, through to our exclusive Willows Jetty or The Rees, Matakauri Lodge, The Hilton and Doubletree Hotels, we depart from a range of Jetty’s on Lake Wakatipu, Shotover and Kawarau Rivers.

KJet also has a mobile Jetty for special group experiences in off-the-beaten track locations such as Tucker Beach. Our large fleet allows us the creativity and flexibility to create the optimum Jet boat adventure for your guests.

KJet operates under the national maritime governing body, Maritime New Zealand (MNZ), and undergoes Safe Operational Plan audits and inspections annually as part of MNZ’s Certificate of Compliance regulations. All our drivers require a minimum of 100 hours training and are subject to stringent vetting & licensing procedures.

The ultimate welcome to Queenstown.

What better way to set the scene for your group than to get them off the plane and onto an awaiting Jet boat which will deliver them to their hotel. That’ll wake the senses and get a bit of adrenaline into the bloodstream!

We co-ordinate the airport meet & greet and coaches, as well as transfer the luggage to the hotel while guests are being whisked across Lake Wakatipu.

We have the capacity to carry up to 140 guests at one time, with the flexibility to move larger groups on a rotational series, while still retaining the luxury and exclusivity of your own private Jet boats.

Educational Groups

We can tailor the trip to suit the desired thrill level and accommodate all itineraries. KJet is the perfect combination of adrenaline, scenery, and education! Our drivers are full of knowledge and history about the Queenstown area.

We can also incorporate learning on the mechanics of a Jet boat at our workshop as an additional arrangement. Please contact us for special student pricing and flexible departure times.

We deliver the ultimate experience.

We work closely with local caterers and entertainers who set up on-site with us to engage with your guests.

Whether it be drinks and canapés, a BBQ lunch, a cooking master-class, or simply wine and cheese tasting, we can deliver this at our riverside helipad on the Kawarau River.

We’re proudly associated with Ned and his team at NZ Haka. They love welcoming guests to Queenstown and we can arrange an authentic New Zealand greeting upon arrival.

Queenstown Marina

The redevelopment of the existing Frankton Marina into the ‘Queenstown Marina’ is due to be completed mid to late 2019. The Marina has for a long time, been home to KJet’s operations base, and is a popular departure point for large groups.

The Queenstown Marina will feature 187 floating berths, 17 floating sheds, a breakwater, 156-space car park and food and beverage outlets.

A unique aspect of the redeveloped Marina are the 17 floating sheds that will house businesses catering to Marina users, as well as the passers-by. The sheds, resembling the nostalgic boat sheds, have private patios and full services. Food and beverage outlets will beckon people to the lakefront.

4th March: The framing for the new KJet Marina upgrade, which will include retail, reservations and operations is beginning to take shape. Keep checking back here for updates!

10th July: The landscaping is in progress, with some bench seating in place. The Berths are also in, and KJet’s new premises have a roof!

For groups coming out with us, this means:

A brand new, modern check-in and retail facility
Brand new bathroom block
Ample coach parking
Coach wash
Driver rest and waiting area
