The KJet Guide to Mothers Day

Mothers Day should simply be all about her. Here are a few ideas to spark your mind of how you can show your Mum just how special she is to you.

Breakfast in bed

The perfect way to start a lazy day and nothing shows someone you care more than a freshly made breakfast in bed. Here’s a couple of things we’d recommend to serving the perfect breakfast in bed:

A tray – you’ll need this to balance the food and drinks
Flowers – what woman doesn’t love flowers? We’d recommend yellow ones from Andrea Crawford Flowers
Cutlery – there’s be nothing worse than forgetting these after doing all the hard work
Food choice – plan her favourite breakfast and make sure you know if she prefers savoury or sweet
Drink – we hope you’ve mastered by now how to make her the perfect cup of tea
No finger lifting

The number one rule on Mother’s Day, is to not let them lift a finger. She’s bound to be on autopilot so if you’re Mum attempts to make her way to the kitchen or laundry, steer her in the right direction. Our second rule is to be prepared. If you don’t do cooking, make sure you budget to eat out or rope some else in to do the cooking for you. Let her take a seat whilst you do the weekly chores.

Make it Yellow

To celebrate Mothers Day this Sunday, we couldn’t think of a better way to spoil her than taking her for a thrilling ride on the ‘Big Yellows’ when she’s next in Queenstown. Now that would be a great surprise!
