Where Is Time Tripper?
To find Time Tripper, you’ll need to be in Queenstown CBD and head to the lake front. Once you are by the Lake, look for the Yellow KJet sign on the Pier. The Pier is located right by Patagonia Chocolates but here is a map for a visual of where to find us. Once you have found us, the friendly team at KJet shall check you in.

Time Tripper welcomes all ages and offers a fun, family-friendly experience. Walk down the stairs and step up to a mesmerising viewing window, where Lake Wakatipu’s wildlife swims past in its natural environment. The wildlife isn’t captured and comes and goes freely. You’ll also enjoy a 15-minute film that brings the story of Lake Wakatipu to life, revealing how it formed over 90 million years ago.
Is Time Tripper Worth The Money?
We think it’s worth every dollar. At just $20 per adult and $10 per child, Time Tripper offers a full 30 minutes of entertainment. One of the best-value activities in Queenstown.
Is Time Tripper A Scary Ride?
Time Tripper isn’t a scary ride. It’s a submerged observatory beneath Lake Wakatipu, where you can watch the local wildlife and enjoy a 15-minute film that reveals the history of the lake and how it formed 90 million years ago.
What Is The Age Range For Time Tripper?
Time Tripper is perfect for all ages. You may learn a thing or two while you are down there, or just be entertained by the wildlife. You’ll need to walk down a short flight of stairs, but if you have a pram, we will happily look after it for you.
Is Time Tripper Wheelchair Accessible?
Unfortunately, Time Tripper isn’t wheelchair accessible due to the stairs leading down to the observatory.
