From standard departures at the Main Town Pier and the Queenstown Marina, through to our exclusive Willows Jetty or The Rees, Matakauri Lodge, The Hilton and Doubletree Hotels, we depart from a range of jetties on Lake Wakatipu, Kawarau and Shotover Rivers.

    Health and Safety

    Safety is of paramount importance to KJet. We aim to ensure that everyone enjoys their experience on the water and we meet the very highest of safety standards.

    KJet operates under the national maritime governing body, Maritime New Zealand (MNZ), and undergoes Safe Operational Plan audits and inspections annually as part of MNZ’s Certificate of Compliance regulations. All our drivers require a minimum of 100 hours training and are subject to stringent vetting & licensing procedures.

    Our fleet of both single & twin engine Mackraft Jet Boats have a capacity to hold 140 guests and are specifically designed for maximum performance, safety and passenger comfort.

    KJet’s MNZ current Certificate of Compliance is available on request.

    Straight off the plane on to an awaiting Jet boat, surprise your VIPs with a hotel transfer that simply has no comparison.

    Your guests are blasted down the Kawarau River, with 360° spins and remarkable views in one of our famous ‘Big Yellows’ then whisked across Lake Wakatipu into central Queenstown or dropped to your hotels private Jetty.

    Our experienced conference & incentive/groups staff co-ordinate the airport meet and greet, and luggage transfer behind the scenes. For those with limited time, it’s a great way to squeeze in an adventurous Jet boat activity during your visit to Queenstown.

    The only Jet boat airport transfer available in New Zealand, KJet have the largest fleet in the country and can carry up to 120 guests at one time, with the flexibility to move larger groups on rotation.

      UNIQUE RIVERSIDE VENUE

      KJet is excited to offer a unique riverside venue accessed by Jet boat or helicopter on the shores of the scenic Kawarau River. With a capacity for up to 150 guests, the venue has a 100m² deck boasting picnic tables, outdoor umbrellas, a rustic bar and on-site BBQs. 

      Imagine surprising your guests with a Jet boat trip across Lake Wakatipu and down the Kawarau River, delivering them to an exclusive unforgettable location.

      Our unique venue has ample space for marquee set up and is surrounded by poplar trees, and mining relics adding a touch of history.

      Suppliers are able to access the venue prior to the big day with road access by 4WD (Coach access unavailable). Power to the site is from generators only.

      KJet Jet boat operational hours are 8am – 8pm in summer.

        Queenstown Marina

        KJet’s brand new location

        Our new reservations and visitor centre is now open as a first class departure point for Conference and Incentive delegates, located at the revitalised Frankton (now Queenstown) marina.

        The marina is an additional departure point to KJet’s long standing location at the Main Town Pier central Queenstown. The centre is tailored towards large groups that require ample parking for coaches, space to offer food and beverages before or after a Jet boat trip and exclusive use of the centre available on request.

        This fantastic new facility allows for flexibility with trip duration, pick up and drop off points, and can also be used as a wet weather option. For delegates that are unable to go on the Jet boat, the garden and public seating area along the waterfront is a great place to sit with a coffee and watch the boats come and go.

        With the largest fleet in NZ we are well equipped to take care of your large group while retaining the luxury and exclusivity of your own private Jet boats.

          STUNNING LOCATIONS

          Unforgettable experiences in and around Queenstown.

          We have access to private areas* along the Kawarau and Shotover Rivers where you can stop and enjoy lunch, wine tasting or an activity like fishing, haka training or clay target shooting.

          We can co-ordinate a 4WD or helicopter to pick up your group and transfer them back to town, or to another activity.

            We’re delighted to say we work with many fantastic destination management companies who are experts in creating unique team building activities.

            Each programme will be curated to suit your individual group. This will be in keeping with the theme and brand your company stands for.

            We work closely with other Queenstown activity operators to make each programme as action-packed as possible.

            Team-building adventures are designed to provide your group with a fun full or half day experience. We can help you combine a series of challenges, action activities and competitions.
